BigLion and burn out

Post  Matthias Gemuh on Fri Jul 17, 2009 8:46 pm

I tried to work on my aging chess engine BigLion today and was shocked.
Why ? alarmingly little motivation !
I have to wait till motivation "comes back".

Meanwhile, the engine should be thrown out of tournaments, if deemed too old.

Relaxing,
Matthias.

Bad luck for you:
Next engines will stay "for ever" as reference point for new entrees:
Gerbil
Bestia
RDChess
TSCP
Phalanx
Ruffian
Pro Deo
Resp
BigLion

tournament rules

That means BigLion is doomed to stay playing at WBEC-Ridderkerk Rolling Eyes

Best wishes,
Leo

That is very interesting, Leo Very Happy
I have not stopped chess programming.
I will work slowly on ArcBishop80 to make it play normal chess much stronger,
and still support Chess960 and 10x8 chess.

Thanks,
Matthias.
