Current hardware and OS for Edition 16? Empty Current hardware and OS for Edition 16?

Hi Leo,

Could you tell me what hardware you are using in the 4th division, Edition 16. I noticed that some 64-bit versions are sceduled:

...
Brutus 5.4-x64
Deuterium 08.01.26.247-x64
...

Is the tournament running on a 64-bit OS? I couldn't find a confirmation of that on the WBEC-website. If so: Good for Brutus and Deuterium! Very Happy

Best wishes,
Stephan

Leo is indeed using 64bit os, If I recall correctly he was one of the first people who started using 64 bit engines on Xp pro 64 bit beta. I doubt that Brutus would have a hardtime in the current division it's in. Have you fixed the time management of Brutus under incremental time controls? When do we get a new version? Razz

Hi Tony,

Indeed I have a new version with fixed time control. It also supports SMP and has improved pondering for manually operated tournaments.
The thing is, if I don't use SMP, it is slightly weaker than the original version and that is a bit irritating!!! But I promise, a newer version will be released within a short while. (Probably before the start of the tournament).
